We consider our parish first and foremost, an environment rather than a piece of turf or territory. We believe it is a gathering place, real and symbolic, where the Word of God is proclaimed and understood; where faith stories are shared; where the presence of God is celebrated in many forms; and where works of justice and charity are initiated. In many ways, our parish is a mystery. It has many dimensions. Sometimes it's like a festive carnival. At other times it's a monastic oasis. While it attempts to influence the world in which it is located, it is also affected by what is happening in that world. We are dreamers but our feet are firmly on the ground. We worship, study, pray and play together in good times and bad so that our life in Christ may grow stronger.

We accept Jesus as our shepherd and we attempt to shepherd one another in the same spirit that he shepherds us. He has made a difference in our lives. We are a people of faith striving to believe more firmly; a people of hope, searching for ways to trust more fully; a people of love, intent on expressing that love in faithful service. In summary, we are a people with a vision, a mission and a plan. The information contained here is our attempt to make that plan work.
