When a family member’s faith journey is complete, there is a wonderful support system in place at the Church of Saint Joseph to help the family cope with the details and stress of planning a Mass for their loved one.

Father Joe and the Bethany Ministry are available for the needs of the grieving family. The Bethany Ministry is made up of fellow parishioners who meet with members of the family to select readings, readers and music to be included in the liturgy. The Bethany Ministry then prepares a program for the Funeral Mass. Before, during and after the Mass, bethany members are present to assist in many roles to help the grieving family including: lector, minister of Holy Communion, candle bearer, and program distributor.

The Church of Saint Joseph Bethany Ministry offers the support for grieving family members to make the process just a bit less difficult.
