The Knights of Columbus Council #6462 serves an active role in Saint Joseph Parish activities. The Council was started by 28 gentlemen of Saint Joseph Parish on May 8, 1973. Since then, the Council has grown and integrated into the parish community. The Council hosts community, spiritual and social activities throughout the year.
For the community, the Knights organize and Marshall the Fourth of July and Labor Day parades in Mendham, New Jersey. The Council collects monetary donations for the developmentally disabled each spring and collects clothes and furniture for Appalachia twice a year.
Spiritually, the Mendham Knights sponsor the “March for Life” bus trip to Washington, D.C. Individually, the Knights serve as Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers and participate in many other parish ministries.
The Knights’ social activities include a Saint Joseph Parish summer picnic, a Christmas party and a St. Patrick’s Day party.
